For several days, Manga had been suffering from severe headaches. When I visited her, she told me the pain would come and go, sometimes becoming very intense. I advised her to get proper rest and drink more water, but even after following this advice, the headaches did not stop. So I strongly encouraged her to see a doctor for a check-up.
After examining her, the doctor recommended a scan. The scan revealed that there was a tumor in her head. The doctor said surgery was necessary; otherwise, she could suffer a stroke. When Manga learned that the surgery would be very expensive, she became very worried and started crying. The hospital staff then told her to arrange for an Aarogyasri health card and prepare some money for the operation.
Before the surgery, the doctors asked her family members to sign papers stating that if anything serious happened during the operation, the hospital would not be held responsible. At that moment, our whole community gathered together and prayed earnestly for her surgery to be successful and for God to protect her life.
By God’s grace, Manga’s surgery went well, and her health is now stable. If she had not gone to the doctor in time, her condition could have become very dangerous. Today, she stands as a living testimony. She shared with me that during the long surgery, she kept praying to God, saying, “I have no husband and only one son. Father, please save my life somehow, and I will stand as Your witness.”
When I visited her recently, she thanked me with tears in her eyes and said, “Because of your prayers and because you insisted that I go to the doctor, my life was saved. God delivered me from death. Otherwise, I would not be alive today.”
Now she continues sharing her testimony with others and thanking God for saving her life. Manga and all her family members come from a Hindu background and did not know about God before. But through this experience, they began to believe in Him and put their faith in Him. By going to the doctor at the right time and receiving treatment before a stroke occurred, her health improved greatly.
