Every month, millions of girls miss school because they lack access to basic supplies to manage their periods.
The shame and stigma they experience often lead to isolation, and in many cases, dropping out of school entirely. Women in the workplace face similar challenges, as many environments fail to provide the privacy and sanitary resources needed during menstruation.
That’s where EveryGirl. comes in.
Through our organization, Ultimate Mission, we’ve launched EveryGirl.—a project dedicated to improving the lives of girls and women around the world who face unnecessary hardship during their periods. Our goal is simple but powerful: to distribute menstrual kits to women and girls in the countries where our team is working. Each kit includes reusable pads (enough for an entire cycle), panties, a washcloth, and soap—packed in a discreet, attractive bag she can carry with pride.
The need for EveryGirl. became even clearer on our recent visit to Ethiopia.
Thanks to two supportive churches, we brought 23 kits to distribute. While we knew this wouldn’t be enough, our goal was to introduce the product and gather feedback directly from the women. We entered a village ready to listen and learn—hoping to understand what it's truly like to have a period in Ethiopia and to confirm just how essential these kits are.
What we learned ignited an even deeper passion for our mission.
Most women simply can’t afford disposable products, resorting instead to using old rags. Many girls skip school altogether due to fear and embarrassment of bleeding through their clothes. The demand for the kits was overwhelming—they were eagerly received, and many women were left still in need.
I made a promise that day—to return with more.
And while the need is great, we are not alone in this mission. With the support of caring individuals, churches, and communities, we are making a difference. We may not reach every girl and woman, but each kit we deliver transforms a life. Together, we can bring hope, dignity, and opportunity—one girl at a time.
